The Patterson Farm Scarecrow Contest for 2012 is open to school groups who visit the farm during our fall tours.
Let your imagination run wild! Design a scarecrow depicting your favorite storybook, TV or movie character, or just create your own character from scratch. If your scarecrow is judged most likely to scare off those pesky crows from a garden, you’ll win a cash prize! Just remember, we’re a family farm, so leave the “scare” out of your scarecrow – this is all for fun, so scarecrows should not be frightening. Commercial costumes and rubber/plastic masks are not allowed.
You’ll pick up your scarecrow while on your tour to take back to school to decorate. To enter the contest, post a photo of your scarecrow on the submission form below by Monday, Nov. 12. No entries will be accepted after midnight on Nov. 12.
On Tuesday, Nov. 13, we will post all of the entries on the Patterson Farm Facebook page for our fans to vote on their favorite. Voting begins on Nov. 13 and ends at midnight on Nov. 16, 2012.
The three scarecrow entries receiving the most “Likes” on Facebook will receive cash prizes.

Winners will be notified by e-mail on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012. Prizes will be mailed via first class mail.
